Handy straightening brush
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A very aesthetic looking brush was my first impression. As I opened the packaging and saw the long charging cable, I was instantly relieved as I knew that charging this brush was going to be easy. I turned on the product and adjusted the heat setting and was surprised by the speed at which the ceramic plates heated up.
Running the brush through my hair, it felt exactly like a hair straightener but with added brush bristles to help tackle any knots. It worked really well straightening out the random curves and kinks in my hair and I enjoyed using it for that purpose.
My hair type is thick and usually pretty straight already. As I have thicker hair, I did find straightening out my whole head took a long time due to the limited surface area of ceramic heated bits so this product is definitely suitable for on the go styling for myself. If you have thinner hair, I would imagine you could straighten all your hair quite quickly.
Overall I really liked this rechargeable straightening brush for when I have random bedhead that needs fixing.

Aside from that the brush itself is quite decent it terms of results. It straightens quite quickly or a natural waves depending on how you want to style it.

Handy hair tool!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lil device is such a great lil portable fixer upper!! I have super thick and long hair so I knew the results wouldn't be the same as a high end 200 degree straightener, however I was very impressed with the results of this lil straightening brush.
I have wavy/curly hair and avoid brushing it because it just turns into a fluffy lion's mane of a mess. So this tool tackles that exact issue for me. As I brush it smooths and straightens.
To do a proper job I'd need to divide my hair up and really be thorough but it's also truly great for a quick once around.
I love that it's cordless. I think that's the best feature!!! So innovative and such a great release from Lady Jayne!! Will be suggesting this to friends!

Great for the gym bag
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently had the opportunity to trial this product through BH. It seemed like fate because I had recently been researching for a straightening brush but I had been told with my longish thin hair that they aren’t ideal. I’ll level with you, they aren’t the best option for me and I won’t be throwing away my straightener anytime soon. Having said that, I found this brush to be a really great top up tool for already styled hair. I would straighten my hair in the morning, go to work then head to the gym or for a run after. Coming home I would end up with the dreaded frizz and also mark from my pony tail so this little beauty was perfect at smoothing things back down again before heading out to drinks with the girls. I also trialled this on my daughters, one has short thick hair and the other has medium long curly hair. For the thick hair it gave a nice and quick smoothing effect and worked great. As the hair is thick and straight on its own it doesn’t normally require much styling (wish my hair was like that) so this just added a nice bit of polish. For my daughter with fine curly hair, it took about 15 minutes and the effect was like getting a blow wave. There was still a little texture and wave but it was super shiny and smooth and in much less time than it would take to blow dry! So it worked great for her too. My only issue was that the charge only lasts around 20-25mins so it pretty much needs to be charged after every 1 to 2 uses. Which I find annoying, especially since I have other small rechargeable devices that can last all night!
Overall I really liked it. It was quick and convenient as well as worked for a range of hair types and lengths. For me I find it best for a quick touch up so I still need my straighter, for thick straight hair it would def be my go to and I loved it for giving a blow dried effect on curly hair. I think for curly girls and guys it could be a real game changer in terms of helping prolong a good blow dry.

Great concept
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to try this product out as part of a BH trial team. I have short, thin and often frizzy hair, so a tool to keep the frizz away is an amazing idea, thanks Lady Jayne. I loved the small compactness of the product. It came in a small box with a small velvet travel bag and charging cable. The brush was very easy to use, easy to charge and transport with me when I was out and about. It was a little heavy for my handbag (but not extremely heavy), but it was great when I was travelling to the office (and in my larger work bag). I loved that it was portable and didn't require a power point. This was particularly handy when I was using the brush on the go, especially when I was working in the city. Charging was quite simple, using the cord that was provided and then plugged into a USB outlet. We have USB outlets everywhere now!! The brush had varied heat settings and these settings were easy to adjust as needed, by pushing a button. The brush was so easy to use, not too heavy and very easy to manoeuvre and the perfect size within my small hands. It heated up in a reasonable time, didn’t cause any burns to my skin or hair and would safely cool down. To use, I would spray heat protectant and then just brush a small section of my hair through (about 4cm sections), similar to a straightener, until my hair was straitened to the desired look. I found you could even bend your hair around the brush for a more wavy/choppy look. You could also brush your hair quite straight depending on what style you were after. I would then follow with a styling oil for the finished look and to seal the cuticle.
The only issue that I had was, that the day that I would use the brush, I would always end up with a lot more frizz later that day (not immediately after using the brush). This would happen even after I had used heat protectant, used frizz fighting shampoo, conditioner, treatments, etc. I don't know if it is just my hair and/or all of the humidity in the air of late, however it put me off using it as often as I wanted to and found I went back to my straightener, as I didn’t experience this issue.
Whilst my hair didn’t agree with the brush because of the frizziness factor, I do however recommend this product for others who are looking to use a product on the go. Perhaps people who don’t have as frizzy hair as mine? The convenience of the brush is still amazing and one that I will still continue to use (even with later day frizziness)!
A massive thank you for BH and Lady Jayne for the trial. Get this brush into your arsenal all!!!!! I am looking forward to what else Lady Jayne has coming.

It's cordless!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used different types of hair styling tools but yet have not tried a heated hair brush before so I was super excited to test out this product. Let's start with the pros, it's cordless, lightweight and a good size that fits in my handbag which makes it extremely handy. I can literally keep the heated brush in my handbag and use it throughout the day. Once the brush is fully charge, it can be use for 20 minutes which is plenty for me as I mainly use it for quick styling or touch ups. When it turned on, it literally only takes few seconds to heat up. The cons, you can't expect this heated brush to achieve the same styling effect as a straightener with the same amount of time. If I want to give my hair big curls then it is tricky to get it with this brush. In saying that this heated brush is perfect for quick simple styling and is very portable and handy. Perfect for travel and everyday use. I will definitely continue to use it. Overall, a great product.

Good brush except battery life is disappointing
It’s a good brush to go over frizzy hair however the battery life is very disappointing. By the time you use it on your hair one time you have to immediately charge it. I would have expected it would last over the course of 1 day at the vey least or a couple of sessions. I have fine hair….not even thick. So you can imagine the battery won’t even last on thick hair

FAR TOO LONG TO CHARGE
Got this a few weeks ago as an Early Mother's day present.
Love the size and look of the brush, but extremely disappointed that I only get one use of 10mins before I need to charge it, and it takes nearly 3 hrs to recharge....I thought that was only for the first time, not every time.
Is this normal or have I got a dud ?

On the go touch ups
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I picked this up from Chemist Warehouse in the 50% off sale. It comes in a little pouch with a USB charger and needs a 3 hour charge before the first use.
I will say, I wouldn't attempt to style my hair using only this brush - it is a little slow going and I doubt you would get through your whole head on this battery.
However, this is definitely a convenient size for the handbag and good for fixing up frizz and fuzz (thank you Sydney humidity). Especially good if you can pick it up half price.

Great product, just not that suited to my hair
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoyed trialling this product. I've always been a bit nervous about using hair straighteners due to trying them many years ago and almost burning my hair. I have such fine hair that I don't think it is really suited to these sorts of products, so I tend to stay away from them.
This straightening brush, however, was a fantastic entry level product for me to try out straightening and styling my hair. I have extremely fine, straight, thinning hair that could not hold a curl or wave to save its life. But I also have a lot of frizz, and that drives me mad when I want my hair to look smooth and sleek.
I really loved the different temperatures depending on the type of hair you have - I used the lowest temperature. It felt safe to use throughout, being cordless, and at no point did I think I was going to burn my hair!
I really wanted to be able to create some waves, which did not work at all for me as my hair is soft and smooth, and the brush has to grip to curl the hair around it. It did however smooth our the frizz, and was really nice to brush through and straighten out any kinks after using a hairdryer.
Two things I was pleasantly surprised by: 1) It looks really nice with the black and rose gold colours, so quite luxe and 2) it charged really quickly.
I would recommend this to anyone looking for an easy to use, portable heating brush. I would assume it is much better as a straightener than a curler simply because of the lack of grip. I like how small and portable it is, and would definitely consider taking it on holidays or out at night with me to fix my hair.

Pretty convenient
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked that the brush was cordless and small so will be extremely convenient when travelling. It’s best when you’re hair isn’t super curly as I found that the brush wasn’t able to completely get rid of my curls around my face. For me, the brush is great the day after I’ve straightened my hair and I don’t need to re-straighten it but it needs a bit of smoothing out. I think if you had extremely curly hair this brush probably isn’t the best but if your hair is pretty straight or wavy then it’s pretty good.

Convenient Straightening Brush
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Lady Jayne Salon Pro Heated Straightening Brush has a lot of positive features to it. It’s USB charging is extremely convenient as you’re not tied to a cord outlet, (you can even charge it to your laptop!) It also holds the charge well, meaning you can leave it in your bag all day and use it before going out that night. It comes in a small, secure travel pouch that’s perfect for putting in your bag, and it heats up and cools down efficiently. It is good for a gentle brush on medium-short hair for a tidy up, however, as it isn’t a clamp like a straightener, I found it difficult to pull and hold my hair for a distinct straightened look.

Styling on the go
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never used a straightening brush so I was keen to give the Lady Jayne straightening brush a go! The brush is a compact size perfect for travelling or even to throw in your handbag. It charges easily via USB cable. The straightening brush takes approximately 3 hours to charge. I found it used the charge very quickly which wasn't ideal - after charging for 3 hours I probably only got about an hour of use out of it before needing to charge again.
I sectioned my dry hair and used this brush slowly like I would a straightener. Although the brush smooths the hair, it definitely doesn't "straighten" like a regular straightener would. It does improve the texture of the hair and make it easier to style though. It also works well to add or enhance light waves.
I found this very easy to use and I really rate how convenient it is for on the go use. However the short battery life means I can't give it higher than 3 stars.

Easy to use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a small, lightweight and compact heated brush, I love how I can charge it and use it cordless, unlike another heated brush I have which needs to be plugged in to work.
However, it definitely does not reach the temperature it says on the brush, it's warm at best, even when I left it plenty of time to heat up.
When I run this through my hair it makes my hair smoother and more groomed, but definitely needs to heat up more to have a sleeker straighter effect.
It's great if you need something on the go, but for me it does not work well enough to make a big difference. And my hair is already straight-ish.

Good styling brush but not if you’re in a rush!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A little bit about me for context. I’m a first time mum of a 6 month old baby, who used to take massive pride in the way she looks. I’m time poor, but still yearn to look half decent. My postpartum hair is horrendous but at least I still have hair after the dreadful 2-3 months of hair loss (heaps of baby hair along my receding hair line, frizzy, straight/slightly wavy, also got a mum haircut, so it falls a bit past my shoulder). I was thrilled to trial this product as it’s meant for “on the go” styling, and fights frizz.
To be honest, I’m on the fence. I can’t decide whether I love this product or not. Whilst I love that you can use it anywhere (besides the shower/bath/pool), it doesn’t fight frizz fast enough for me. It is a bit heavier than I expected, but not heavy enough to hurt (although I feel like my arms and wrists are super strong after carrying a 6 month old around all day). I probably wouldn’t throw this in my handbag (read: nappy bag), because it’s borderline too heavy with all the baby gear (however, I think if I was using this in another stage of my life, such as going out for events after work, it might be a different story).
I found that it took quite a few “passes” through my hair to get it looking semi-decent. I tried this out on one half of my hair and used my hair straightener on the other. It took me literally a minute to get my hair straight with a straightener but took 10-ish minutes with the straightening brush. However, I do prefer the results I got from the brush, as my hair looked like it had a bit more volume than the stick straight look with a hair straightener.
I think this hair straightening brush would suit you if you’re looking for an on the go heat styling brush and you don’t mind carrying around a little extra weight.
It also has variable temperature, which is great if you’re super conscious about using heat products on your hair. I tried using the lower heat settings but ended up cranking it up, because I’m time poor. It did do a decent job straightening out my hair tie kink after quite a few passes.
All in all I think this hair brush would be great for some people. It certainly does the job as advertised.

Not for frizzy hair
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to be selected to participate in the Lady Jayne Salon Pro Rechargeable Heated Straightening Brush trial team. I have always wanted a straightening brush and was even more excited that this one is cordless.
The brush come with a USB charging cable and it says to charge it for 3 hours for the first charge - it took less than 20 minutes to gain a full charge. There are 5 red LED lights on the front of the brush that flash while charging. You'll know it's fully charged when all LED lights stay on and stop flashing.
The straightening brush also comes with a cute little Velvet draw string pouch to store the brush in.
The brush feels heavy to me but only weights 225g. It's also about the same size as a TV remote control.
To turn the brush on/off there is an on/off button which you press and hold for around 2 seconds. Above the on/off button is a temperature control button. In the leaflet included in the box it has a graph indicating different temperature setting for different hair types.
120⁰-140⁰ - Delicate, fine, bleached hair
160⁰-180⁰ - Normal, wavy hair
200⁰ - Coarse, curly hair
Since my hair is thick, frizzy and wavy I use the highest temperature.
I then brush my hair with a hair brush to remove any knots or tangles and section it as I would when using a regular hair straightener. I like to make my sections quite small because I have a lot of hair. I then passed the straightening brush through each section slowly and found I did need to go through each section with the brush many times. The final results weren't what I was hoping for. My hair was still thick and quite frizzy. Also my hair wasn't very straight. It was still wavy. When I use a regular hair straightener I always end up with sleek frizz free hair. I didn't get those kind of results with this straightening brush. Didn't even come close. I think it may come down to the fact that I normally have my hair straightener set to 230⁰ and it's quite possible that 200⁰ which is this straightening brushes highest temperature just isn't high enough for my hair type. I did like that the tip of the bristles aren't hot to touch.
I wouldn't recommend this straightening brush if you have thick, frizzy, coarse or afro hair if your after sleek frizz free results. It just won't give you that. However I would recommend it to anyone with normal, delicate or fine hair which isn't frizzy as I think those hair types would see the best results. I would also recommend this as more of a touch up straightening brush for when your on-the-go to touch up your hair. It would be very convenient to store in your handbag or car glove box. Just make sure you charge it after each use and don't put it back in it's velvet pouch until it has cooled down.

Do not by this product.
I bought this product a few weeks ago and have not been able to use it. Put on charge for three hours as per instructions, it appears to have charged but when selecting temperature, all it does is start flashing again suggesting needs recharging. Unit does not work. Faulty battery I suppose....not happy Jan!!

Not what I expected
I am probably not using it correctly but not what I expected. I have pretty thick hair and using the brush is like using a normal hair brush. I still have to use my straightener in order to straighten. In fact using this hair brush it is making it more frizzy.

Disappointed
Was excited to try this product, I charged it for the recommended 3 hours then gave it a go. Seemed to work as described & felt it would get better with a little more practice. Unfortunately, however I only got to use it once. Now everytime I turn it on the lights flash & it doesn't heat up. I have tried charging it but about 5 seconds after plugging it in, the lights stop flashing indicating that it is fully charged. Now I don't know what more I can do. Disappointed 😞

I am Asian, so I have black wavy hair and this product does not work, I have it on the highest temperature and I did my hair little by little, and it did not work... what a waste of money. I would not recommend to buy it.

Just a brush
Great idea and concept, for my hair it doesn’t get hot enough and I need to brush it ALOT, clip it up and brush each section really slowly to achieve the look that the model had when I saw the advertisement.
I think if you have very very thin hair this would be ok.

Does nothing for my hair
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to trial the Lady Jayne Salon Pro Rechargeable Straightening Brush as the idea of a portable straightening brush that helps to reduce frizz sounded exactly what I needed. Unfortunately on first use, I was massively disappointed.
Firstly, the brush comes in a nice black box with a storage pouch, usb charging cable and a product/instruction leaflet. The brush is a great portable size, feels nice in the hand with some weight like a quality product. As per First Time Quick Guide on the box, I charged it for 3 hours before first use. It was easy to operate/turn on and off and change the heat settings ranging from 120 to 200 degrees.
I have mid length quite wavy, messy and frizzy hair and unfortunately this brush did nothing for me. Going by the name "Straightening Brush", I expected it to straighten and smooth my hair but after brushing small sections of hair at a time, my hair looked about the same. There was no straightening effect and it barely reduced the frizz. I was disappointed and quite shocked as this may be the first product that I have trialed that failed massively in giving results that it claimed. Perhaps it's just my crazy hair?
I feel like if you are after a product to straighten your hair, it's probably best to stick with a traditional hair straightener and I wouldn't waste my time using this brush. This product might be better suited to leave in the office/handbag for a quick touch up on already straightened hair.
