Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lovely [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was able to trial this brush with my hair in two ways. First I tried it when my hair was long and thick and I continue to try it after I had a hair cut and my hair was short with layers (so less thick). It works perfect with both ways! I did notice that it doesn't really detangle but provides a good massage to the head. I use this brush in rotation with a detangling brush. The wood handle is quite a good quality and the bristles are rounded hence the reduced detangling effect. I also noticed that the bristles are spaced out so it won't work with thin hair. When I tried it post hair cut (my hair was a little thinner due to the layers) it worked well but spaced out bristles had difficulties grabbing hairs. Overall, it is quite lovely, would I recommend it? Yes

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great hairbrush for my hair type [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found this brush worked perfect with my hair type (I have very long, thick (as in a lot), yet fine stranded hair). The bristles glided very smoothly down my hair and it never left it feeling wiry or static-y (some other bristles have done that to my hair). I worked from the lower ends of my hair up, detangling as I moved toward my scalp and finally brushing it all out from my scalp down. This brush felt nice on my scalp and the handle was easy to grip onto. Throughout my usage I took note if the natural oils that built up on my scalp did actually redistribute as I brushed down, which I felt happened maybe slightly more than my previous brushes, simply due to the wooden pins, but I can't say it was a huge difference. This brush worked really well on my hair type so I would definitely recommend if your hair is similar!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice brush [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice hairbrush, and it does its job well. It didn’t pull as much as other brushes that I have used and since it doesn’t have any plastic balls on the ends of the bristles it means that it is less likely to pull and over time for those balls to come off and the bristles to scratch your scalp. The wooden bristles are a nice feeling on your scalp and my daughter didn’t mind it either. She has very fine curly hair and this brush did her hair well although it was a bit big for a child. It did my thick long hair just fine. I used it on wet and dry hair with good results both ways. Good everyday brush that sits well in your hand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A luxury brush that works for day and night [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a master brush that works well for many uses. Firstly, however, before I tell you of its great features, I have to mention that while it comes in nice packaging, the packaging itself doesn't do justice to the lovely product inside the light blue box, which doesn't let you see how gorgeous - yes gorgeous - the brush actually is! More than this, once you do, eventually take it out of the box, the brush is much elegant than you first anticipate. The colour of the brush, to begin with is a very classy white wood, maple wood, which is rare in Australia, is a hard, close-grained wood, which is apparently resistent to bacteria but is light on the hand, for lifting and using. In addition, the squar-ish but rounded handle is tastefully designed, and even has the brand name on the handle but this is also simple and unobtusive. The wood certainly makes you feel you are using a natural product and one that will last a long time. Similarly the brush bristles have been well designed and are perfect for thick hair (like mine!) and gently 'stimulate' but also help detangle, which is always a good thing when you have long or thick hair or wear it down a lot. The bristles are the exact same colour of the brush and are rounded but firm and widely spaced. A classy, stylish brush, this piece will look elegant on any dressing table and could even work as a rushed, drying hair brush or straightening paddle brush, and while the hair will fall through the bristles quickly, with a bit of product, it might just do the job. No doubt hair will dry very quickly with this brush, when brushing it with a hair dryer, but it is no doubt a glorious brush, perfect for a post-shower brush or when you need to treat your hair gently and is one product that I will use for years. Flawless really.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gentle brush [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product came in a plastic container, it has a wooden handle and wooden bristles, with an odd woody smell. Overall it was a nice brush, it left my hair feeling soft and smooth, it could also with stand heat from hair curlers, straightens and dryers. I felt it improved the health of my hair and kept it cleaner for longer. The negatives of this brush are that the bristles are places quite far apart so it’s not ideal for styling as it doesn’t catch baby hairs, or for detangling as it couldn’t get in between the knots (I have quite thick hair)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality wooden paddle brush [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found this Paddle Brush comfortable to hold and is gentle on my scalp. It feels strong and is beautifully made. I predominantly use it on dry hair but have also used it on towel dried hair and it gently untangles my hair without causing any breakage. When used on towel dried hair the brush dries quite quickly too. I've been using this paddle brush from around a month now and really like how gentle it is. The rounded wooden pins feel incredible on my scalp and give a lovely massage while I'm brushing my hair. It says on the packaging that this brush is made from Maple Wood which is a hard, closed-grain wood making it durable and resistant to bacteria.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Paddle [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this brush everyday since I've got it. It's gentle on my hair and can detangle without pulling or hurting. It's really good at distributing natural oil and I've noticed that my hair feels a lot softer after using this brush than any other one. The design of the brush is absolutely gorgeous, the wood is a stunning colour and has such a natural vibe. I removed one star as I noticed one of the bristles broke after only using it one time. I've used this brush in wet hair and dry hair and have been impressed with both. Overall I'm really happy with this brush.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hair brush [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] And this is a great hairbrush for dry hair. It’s spreads the oils around leaving the ends of your head moisturised and shiny. I wouldn’t use this with wet hair as I don’t think it would work as well. The bamboo bristles also give your scalp and a good massage when it’s being used. This brush is a great alternative to the boar bristle brush as it is vegan. I wasn’t expecting to like this brush so much as I have been using the same one for six years, but it was a nice surprise that it works so well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality, beautiful brush [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The bamboo/wood finish on this brush is smooth and beautiful. The contours fit in the hand well and make it a pleasant experience to use. The pad of the brush is quite firm and not flexible, so the pins will not conform to the head shape while brushing. I found that this meant I could get quite a firm pressure when brushing, but was not super gentle on the hair/scalp. I would use this on dry hair only, as I believe it's not quite gentle enough for use on wet hair. I also have the Lady Jayne Flexi glide brush at home which I personally find more gentle and a more comforting experience. Overall, a well-built brush that is great for daily use on most hair lengths, especially medium and long hair.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hair brush [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasn’t expecting to like this brush so much as I had been using the same brush for the last six years. I could tell that the bristles really moved around the oils in my hair, making it all look very shiny and my ends not so dry. The bristles also gave a nice scalp massage when you used it on your head. This brushes definitely for dry hair. Only I wouldn’t use this with wet hair as I don’t think it would work as well. I think the point of it is for the bristles to move that way all around like a boar bristle brush, but at least this one is vegan made out of bamboo

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not overly excited with this [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not a huge fan of this paddle brush that is meant to stimulate and detangle. I feel the wooden pins/bristles are very soft and does not detagle my hair. When using this brush it does not assist with my frizzness of hair. Yes it does add shine to my dry clean hair when freshly washed but I feel that it could be better. The paddle is quite large too and almost too big for the size of my head. I would not recommend this brush to anyone that is trying to stimulate and detangle your hair. I think there are much better options out there.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good everyday brush [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] (I am not sure what happened to the website as I had submitted this review but it is saying it is overdue so I will attempt to rewrite it) This large paddle brush is a good brush for everyday. It is lightweight but can be considered bulky when thinking about how it will go with travel and packing. I would look for sustainable materials in a brush and I wouldn't chose a plastic one anymore. So that should be marketed more. The brush has been good as I have long hair, however when trying to style it, it can be more challenging as it is larger and doesnt work around as easily as something more compact. Although overall I am happy and would repurchase as it works for my hair needs.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Gives a relaxing scalp massage. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this brush to trial along with the Lady Jayne Restorative Scalp Brush. On the days days I don’t wash my hair beginning on the scalp i have been using this brush from the midsection down towards the ends of my hair. The brush feels gentle on my scalp and hair, noting that I did have to brush my hair in smaller sections as I have thick hair and I felt this brush was so gentle it wasn’t able to get through my thick hair thoroughly in one sweep otherwise, nor get through my hair to my scalp (which I really wanted to focus on for the trial purpose of added circulation on my scalp) without a little added force. On days that my hair was a complete mess I did have to go over my hair with a separate brush purely to get through all of the knots in my hair. The wooden pins felt very gentle on my scalp and hair even with the extra brushing and force it never hurt nor pulled at my hair. The wooden handle also felt very smooth and really comfortable and light to hold in my hand. I like that this brush had extra benefits rather than just being a hair brush that it promotes increased blood circulation and the redistribution of the hairs natural oils.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but not great [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I gave this brush a really good go and I wanted to like it because I have used Lady Jane products in the past and loved them… but for me, this brush didn’t live up to the hype. I didn’t feel as though this brush did anything different or special from any of the other brushes out there in the market. Don’t get me wrong, the brush does is good, glides through my hair and I didn’t notice anymore breakage than I usually do when brushing my hair wet, but if you already have a brush that you like and which works for you - I wouldn’t be throwing it away to get this one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from TT paddle brush [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This brush is a paddle brush, with firm rounded bristles. The bristles are wide spaced, which I found a bit awkward when trying to use it to pull my hair back into a pony tail. The spaces between the bristles made it hard to get a sleek, smooth finish. The firmness of the bristles makes for a really nice head massage though and it powers through any tangles. I did feel like the handle was a little short. I don’t think my hands are large, yet I found the handle felt too short and I sometimes found it hard to grip securely. This brush is made from maple wood and Lady Jayne says this wood is durable and resistant to bacteria. I found it to be visually appealing and it felt solid, without being heavy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty standard brush [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this from the beauty trial team; which is always an awesome treat! But part of the trial team requires honest reviews, and I wasn’t blown away by this brush. While the brush is actually aesthetically pleasing, a gorgeous design, and looks great on a vanity, it’s actually a bit too rigid to use comfortably. The wooden bristles make brushing a bit of a sensitive procedure - you have to be quite careful or else it’s painful pulling and breaking hair. If you have the patients to do this task slowly and methodically the bristles would theoretically draw oils away from the scalp to to the ends where they are needed. But I’m not sure this benefit outweighs the negatives. Overall, I like this brush more in theory than in reality.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Okay hairbrush [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this from the beauty trial team and very grateful to be given the opportunity to review this product. I used this brush on dry and wet hair, the brush is very comfortable to use and gentle on my hair but I have very thick course hair and a lot of volume and i found this brush did not do much detangling or brushing through my hair. The brush did feel good on my scalp and somewhat massaged my scalp as well. The brush handle is smooth wood and feels great but I would not rely on it to do my own hair as it did not detangle any of my thick hair.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lady Jayne Paddle Scalp Brush [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using The Lady Jayne Paddle Brush on alternate days that I don’t wash my hair. Brushing down from my scalp to the ends of my hair the brush feels gentle I was impressed by this as they are wooden but ever so gentle. Having thick hair I found I need to apply more pressure in order to brush my hair throughly and to untangle any knots I have in my hair, more so in the morning as I wake up with pretty wild/messy hair so needed to go over it a few times with pressure. I wouldn’t say this is the brush I would reach for to untangle my hair or give it a thorough brush but I did like it for being so gentle on my scalp and for the other health benefits regarding increasing the blood circulation, and the redistribution of my hairs natural oils.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good everyday brush [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I much prefer a bamboo/ wooden brush than other plastic brushes and did the switch a number of years ago. It is not fully clear how sustainable the material is in this paddle brush but it says it is naturally sourced. I would like companies to be more transparent and sustainable as those are huge selling points at the moment and especially for me, as that would be the reason I chose one brand over another. I have quite a lot of hair and the lengths are getting rather long. The brush is good for a full brush of the head but a little harder to style with as it can feel bulky. For an everyday brush, I would recommend it. It is rather good for using in the morning and at night time. I had no major dramas with this product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Brush [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was selected as part of the trial team to review the Lady Jayne Paddle Scalp Brush and the Restorative Scalp Brush. I have been using this brush after washing my hair and between wash days. After following the steps provided, I have found that it does detangle my hair but I have not found any significant changes in my hair by using this hair tool. I will however continue to use this brush as it is a nice brush and is quite gentle on the hair and scalp. Overall it is a nice brush for general use.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very firm bristles [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been trialling this paddle scalp brush for almost a month now and I’m unsure how I feel about it! I think it’s great that it’s made with wood however I find the bristles to be very firm and have also found that it’s lead to some breakage of my hair. For context I have naturally thick and curly hair but it is also bleached. I prefer something that’s a bit softer for my hair but I have been using this brush as a back up in my locker at work and I find it works well when I have straightened my hair. In conclusion I think this brush would be best for non curly, bleached hair

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not the best paddle brush by Lady Jayne [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product has a woody smell but thankfully it doesn't transfer to hair. My hair strands are very thin and my hair easily tangles. I found the bristles on this brush gripped my hair and I had to tug to get knots out, losing hair in the process. My hair wasn't smooth after I brushed it. I wouldn't recommend this brush to anyone with damaged hair. Those with shorter hair or those wanting to create more volume might enjoy this brush. The bristles did feel nice when I massaged my scalp especially when I had a hair headache so I will keep the brush to massage my scalp but use another brush for the length of my hair.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lovely hairbrush, it glides across my scalp, and makes my hair nice and shiny, and stimulates the oils distributing them through my hair, detangles moderately small to medium knots, but not large knots, lovely maple wood hair brush, this hairbrush has a simple and elegant design, the cushion on the base of the hairbrush ensures complete comfort and the bristles are hard and durable. Would recommend this hairbrush for fine hair, but probably not thick or curly hair as the brush seems to struggle and be unable to navigate the knots and curls of my hair, I was so excited to review this product and it has satisfied me completely
