Holds like glue!
I purchased a packet of the tortiseshell coloured Super Hold clips & have been very pleased with how much they live up to their name. I have long, quite fine hair, so it's a challenge for any hair clips to either hold my fringe back, or keep a pony tail or up-do in place. So I've been really happy I've discovered these hair clips from Lady Jayne. They hold my hair where I put it without budging, meaning I can confidently do my 'do' in the house & know it's going to stay in place for hours. It also means I can use far less product to hold my hair in place, both saving me money on styling products and saving me from dull hair due to too much product buildup. I also like that they're available in tortiseshell - I think it looks great on my brunette hair & makes a pleasant change from the usual silver ones I used to use. They also come in a generous pack of 8, which should last me ages. Very highly recommend you try them if you're sick of hair clips not doing a great job - I've thrown my old ones out!

Very Poor Quality
I purchased these at my local chemist and they only lasted one wearing before the plastic tortoise shell peeled away from the metal base and/or the plastic literally breaks at the curved part. I have similar clips from Japan that have lasted well over ten years and they were cheaper than the Lady Jayne ones! Honestly Lady Jayne, stop foisting Made in China rubbish on us and make your quality reflective of the high prices, Please! I have Lady Jayne combs that are over 40 years old and still going strong but those were made in Australia and that's when the company had pride in their quality.
